Thousands of remains of Darfur civilians can be found as a result of diseases, malnutrition or by Janjaweed raids.

Human rights were compromised because of the racial cleansing. Darfur all started unnoticed as there were no new laws created to constrict the rights of the people. People are being brutally treated as they leave the country. Men are being killed and women are being raped – so that they can try and give birth to lighter-colored babies – if they go too far out of the village to get water or fire wood. The people in charge and being blamed of this cruelty are a patrol group called the Janjaweed and Khartoum who are major combatants with much infighting among themselves and the African tribal population of Darfur. Though there is much violence going on, most of the deaths are linked to malnutrition and diseases such as Hepatitis E and malaria.
