The people in the Darfur region of Sudan have been targeted by the Sudanese government and the Sudan Supported Janjaweed Militia because of their common recruitment into several Rebel groups and the use of their crops and resources by them. Also most of the combatants and those murdered are Islamic. These seemingly Anti-Islamic views are one of the main problems in the Darfur region is that the soldiers in the Sudanese military often kill innocent civilians because they are Islamic. When the United Nations was asked to respond they Ignored the pleas for help and reported that the “There is rape and mass murder but the intent of Genocide is not Present” The United Nations still to this day has not made any action against the War Criminals In Darfur.
